My love for Fog photos of West Virginia

I love the fog, it is so much a part of our lives here. It rises off the streams and lakes in spring and summer in the early mornings. It makes me wait for the sun to shine pure and strong.

It creeps across the land in the fall and winter so dense and thick that you are unable to see the hand in front of your face. It makes you believe in the images created in movies where all the mysteries of life are hiding in the fog. It swallows things whole leaving just a shadow of an image for you to see.

It dances and hides on mountain tops not ready to leave when the sun says it is time to rise from the ground and head home to the sky.

It reaches out to you and blankets you with it misty curtain of silence….. leaving you in a world of imagination.

Oh Jolynn, that all your pictures are beautiful. But that second picture just captivates me so. It looks like a painting I would love to get lost in. Just beautiful!

There is something magical about fog. Oh, I know what it is and how it’s made, but I still think it’s magic. Every morning on my commute to work, I drive through some farmland that is next to a river, and I often pull over to take a photo of the fog rising off the river and engulfing the farmland. These are beautiful photos – thanks for sharing!

    • Thank you Faith I dont do alot of photo posts but Christopher and I were both sick last week so it was a nice way to keep up my goal of writing a post every week and not having to “think ” to hard to get it done… hope to see more of you photos too.

JoLynn, I need to remember that I can do photo posts when I don’t feel like I have enough energy to write. Sometimes sharing little things here and there is better than waiting for it to feel “perfect.” Thanks for the reminder 🙂
